What is a sponsor?
A sponsor is an organization, foundation or individual which commits to fund the expenses connected with the construction of a Habitat house. A sponsor may also commit to providing the leadership and volunteer labor needed to accomplish the task. Each sponsor situation needs to be custom fit to meet the goals, skills and needs of the sponsor organization.
Why should my organization sponsor a house?
Thousands of people in our community live in poor housing and your organization can do something about it. As you give, you will receive. In addition to participating in the renewal of the city, members of your organization, working side by side with the homesteader family, will be united - perhaps as never before - by this hope-giving partnership.
Financial and work group recognition is given on signage at our building sites, in newsletter articles and on our website. Acknowledgement is also given during informational presentations to churches, corporations and organizations.

COST OF SPONSORSHIP
Primary sponsors contribute an amount to cover the hard costs of materials and some subcontractors. In 2006 the cost to a primary sponsor is $60,000. Other levels of sponsorship are available. Churches, corporations, individuals, private foundations and colitions are sponsoring 35 Habitat projects this year.

CONTRIBUTIONS BREAKDOWN
