Volunteer Information

Volunteers are the livelihood of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. Our homes are constructed almost entirely by volunteers; we mobilize thousands of people each year in order help build our homes. The great thing about volunteering with Milwaukee Habitat is that you do not need to have any experience in construction. We will teach you everything you need to know on site!

Volunteers work side by side with our partner families as they complete their sweat equity hours. Volunteers help with rough framing, siding, painting, insulation, drywall, electrical, warehouse, home repair, landscaping and working at the ReStore. Volunteering your time with Milwaukee Habitat is a fun and rewarding experience.

Interested in getting involved in non-construction volunteer opportunities? Consider volunteering on a committee, helping with hospitality at Build Weeks or procuring donations for food or construction materials.

All new individuals interested in volunteering with
Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity are required to attend a volunteer orientation held monthly.  Visit the News and Events page for the next volunteer orientation.
