A Brush with Kindness

A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) is a program of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity that enhances and restores existing homes in targeted neighborhoods.

ABWK provides minor home improvement grants to help low-income homeowners currently living in the boundaries of Lindsay Heights, Harambee, Clark Square and Layton Boulevard.  Milwaukee Habitat volunteers work with the partner families to make the improvements to their homes.

Projects include painting, porch repair, siding, gutter repairs, landscaping, demolition, door and window installation and correcting code violations.

The ABWK program helps forward Milwaukee Habitat's mission of building and renovating simple, decent and affordable housing by helping low-income families stay safe and happy in their homes.

The ABWK program is generously supported by the Zilber Family Foundation and the Marget S. Chester Revocable Trust.
