The A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) program serves families and individuals who already live in and own their homes in targeted neighborhoods.
Projects include painting, siding, porch repair, demolition, gutter repair, landscaping, door and window installation, some interior work and correcting code violations.
If you are interested in applying for the ABWK program check to see if you fit our basic criteria.
Basic Qualifications

Be an owner occupant, meaning you live in your home year round

Live within the boundaries of one of our targeted neighborhoods (Lindsay Heights, Harambee, Clark Square or Layton Boulevard)

Have a significant need for repairs that cannot otherwise be completed

Be willing to partner with ABWK volunteers if able-bodied

If unable to physically participate, must be cooperative and on site while volunteers are working

Have a desire to invest in your property and the neighborhood
ABWK currently has a waiting list of approved projects. This is a popular volunteer program that works year round. Priority is given to seniors, persons with disabilities and single parents.
