Houseleaders are some of the most important volunteers we have here at Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. Houseleaders teach groups of volunteers basic construction skills during our regular work week (Tuesdays through Thursdays and Saturday from 9am-3pm) and/or during our build weeks. Houseleaders help Milwaukee Habitat achieve our mission of building homes with volunteer labor and take on significant leadership roles within the organization.

Houseleaders train unskilled volunteers, and lead crews in tasks such as dry wall, insulation, painting, siding, rough framing and installing flooring. Potential houseleaders meet with our construction department to go over expectations and develop a training schedule (if needed). Houseleaders do not need to be construction professionals, but open-minded and caring individuals who want to learn and teach others.
