Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is in its 5^th year of collaboration with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and their Thrivent Builds program. For the first four years Thrivent sponsored ten Milwaukee Habitat homes in the Harambee neighborhood. In May, Lutheran churches will come together to help build four homes.

Thrivent is a philanthropic insurance company that supports Habitat affiliates around the country by building homes in partnership with local Thrivent members. Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is proud to be the largest Thrivent Build in the country.

To date, Thrivent has contributed more than 2.6 million dollars to help build affordable homes in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood.

The Thrivent partnership with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is part of a larger holistic Harambee Great Neighborhoods plan as part of the Thrivent Builds Neighborhood program. This project is the first of its kind for Thrivent who will invest $1 million dollars in revitalizing and rehabilitating the neighborhood.
