Blitz Build Weeks
Volunteering during a Blitz Build Week is one of the most exciting experiences at Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. In five short days, volunteers frame an entire home. Volunteers start with the first floor walls on Monday and by Wednesday the roof trusses arrive. By the time volunteers leave for the weekend the entire home is enclosed, with windows and doors and some siding installed.
Blitz Build weeks are an excellent opportunity for team building with groups of volunteers. Whether it’s your church, company or friends and family, your group will have a rewarding and educational experience. This is also a great way for individuals to give back to the community by taking vacation time or volunteering after retirement. Individuals who wish to volunteer are asked to sign up for at least three consecutive days.
